now THAT sounds like a terrific birthday party! Love the food choices. May have to steal the idea, except for the karaoke! Sun, glorious sun and it is to be sunny in Chicago as well. ;

Just watched Dear Zachary on the Netflix site. I don't even know what to say. Being hit by a steamroller is a great way to describe. What amazing people.

Seriously. His parents are incredible.

But the replaying of the phone messages from the crazy lady? Oh em gee.

For some reason the herky jerky format of the narration got to me and I had to watch it a few times in order to actually see the whole thing. Oy.

I watched this alone on a rainy gray spring day and just sat there with my mouth wide open and my hands at my side. I cried for a long time afterwards and I don't cry very easily.

Are you aware of instant Netflix?

I haven't seen Zachary, don't know if I could handle it! Love the High Line idea, will have to check it out now that it's done. Have been reading about it for a long time as they were working on it. We've been on the equivalent version that they did in Paris and it's fantastic so I'm so excited New York has done this as well.

It's been two months since I saw "Dear Zachary" and I'm still trying to recover. As much as I agree with how emotionally brutal the documentary is (and make no mistake, it is frankly beyond anything I had experienced from a movie previously in that department), I still think it is an amazing and worthwhile movie to watch.
